Waste wise audit By Dylan

For the wastwise audit we collected all the food scraps for a whole week to see how much rubbish we make in a week.
And then a lady came to school
to teach us about waste wise. There were five kids from each class room and the things you can put in the compost are paper, newspaper, glass,
tin cans, plastic bottles, soft plastic and wrappers,
compost, and other.
Then we sorted all the weeks rubbish out into the bins. The rubbish was really stinky!!
We found that we could have less rubbish in our bins if we sorted our rubbish out into the right bins.

Water Safety Day by Bryson

On water safety day we put on our gumboots and jacket then we jumped in the pool! We were pretending that we had fallen into a dam or a lake with our clothes on. It is very hard to swim with your gumboots on cause they fill up with water and it feels like you are wearing big heavy rocks!! The jacket got really heavy and you feel like you are going to drown.
What we learned from Water Safety day -
1. Kick off our gumboots if you fall in a dam.
2. Take your jacket off so you can swim.
3. Don't worry about loosing your gumboots or jacket - at least you won't die!
4. Don't go to save someone who is drowning because they will grab you and you will drown too. So get an adult.
5. If you have a boggie board and somebody can not swim, swim over and hand them your boggie board and you can swim back.
6.If you are drowning doggy paddle back to shore and if you get tired float back.
7.If you are drowning put your hand up straight and doggy paddle.
8) If you get tried you can float on your front or back.

Wacky Wednesday By Aniwa

We came to school on Wednesday 29th February and we saw jandals stuck to the window and loads of children in really weird
costumes and heaps of people in pyjamas . After lunch Mrs Dunn got out her toaster and we had toast for breakfast!.It was great to see all the lovely suits. Our teachers picked the best two. Our best two were Wyatt and Micheal. Wyatt had a snake around his neck and a necklace, Michael had a pillow stuffed up his jumper and he looked really fat.We really enjoined Wacky Wednesday and we hope it comes around again.
